Ailsa Craig from Ayrshire Coastline

Ailsa Craig is instantly recognisable from the Ayreshire shoreline, the island is roughly 240 acres in size and sits in the Firth of Clyde nearly 10 miles offshore. Ailsa Craig is most famous for the granite of which it is made which is quarried to be made into curling stones. It is also very well known as being the backdrop of the Championship Golf Course at Turnberry.
